Good offline GPS navigation, but not very easy to identify the monuments in the map, which makes it hard to use in the center of Rome, where the monument icons overlap.

Cest top
I cant travel without it anymore. It really worth. Best (and the only one you need) trip app ever. Thank you guys!
Could be updated. Finding current location could be quicker, but overall good App
I walked around and just checked whats near me now. Very useful because it works/gives information about the places/sites offline just with GPS signal. Hope itll be further extended with "less" important sites.
I bought the application Rome mTrip. Nice screens, simple step by step configuration. I love the way they suggest POI based on your interest level for museums, monuments and so on. Lots of information. I found that some menus could have been a bit clearer to ease my navigation. Nevertheless, a great addition to my journey in Rome.
Whyppp
We went to Rome with mTrip and four other "top five" apps. We easily used mTrip 90% of the time. Excellent map/scheduling/guide. Pros: good organizer, great map (works offline) good guidebook (updates fairly constantly). Cons: Some location glitches - the program sometimes thought we werent in Rome (you can fix by turning iPhone on and off). Biggest complaint is that you cant pin your appointments to a specific time, so that every time you add an event you have to reshuffle the days itinerary manually (ie if you have a restaurant or museum reservation specifically for 1 pm adding other events will move it around in the day and youll need to manually correct for that). BOTTOM LINE: Extremely useful.
The best guide bar none. Try Augmented reality. It blew me away. Con: I cannot find the options of (a) deleting visited sights from the itinerary and (b) editing the sequence of sights to visit.
Very good guide, offline is fantastic and other tourists commentaries are very useful. A must.
Fantastic tool. Must hv for any trip.
Roma, New York, Parigi: best guide with off line guidance.
If you normally travel with a paper travel guide, I suggest you leave it at home and opt for this app next time. It has the travel guide content, sort of like the paper versions BUT it also has augmented reality, a trip builder and a few really other cool features. The most helpful guide I have used while traveling.
Probably the best guide Ive ever used. Thanks!
Im using this app to help plan my trip to Rome. The automated itinerary is very nice and it is easy to add or remove attractions from the list for a custom travel plan. Excellent list of attractions, restaurants, etc. The ability to download other users shared places and reviews will certainly make this one of the most comprehensive and up-to-date travel guides available. Ill update my review when Ive had a chance to check out the augmented reality and the GPS based directions, but given the quality so far I have no doubt it will be just as good.
Better than many websites and excellent over printed guides.
Cumbersome no quick add or search functions. Many major places not listed or hard to find. Would be great if you could easily get you stops in. Doe snot even have major airports listed
For $6, how can you go wrong. The GPS-enabled map and navigation alone makes it worth the price. But I also loved that all of its data was available offline, so you can look things up without an ultra-expensive international data plan. Loved the wikipedia entries! Very clever. There are some improvements Id like to see, realizing that some of these may come at an increased price... * Better maps. A lot of the smaller streets were not named, and this sometimes made finding locations difficult. There was also at least one misspelling (though unfortunately I cant remember what it was and foolishly forgot to write it down), which made me pretty confused. The freebie tourist maps have more detail than this one, so perhaps that can be your guide on the level of detail to include. * Allow the itinerary to have different starting and ending points. * Better indication of which information was submitted by professionals versus tourists. I was also unsure how the information had been verified --- certainly it seemed that many restaurant entries were just entered by other users, but this made it hard to trust the listing. In submitting the information, I had a hard time getting it to use my current GPS location in the location information. * You could more than double the price if you were to integrate it with TripAdvisor (but still in offline mode, or at least with some capacity to download partial reviews). Id easily pay $25 for such a capability. The main way I used the Internet access at my hotel was to look up restaurant reviews on TripAdvisor. It was a great help in picking nice places to eat, most of which were not listed in the guide.
Traveling from the United States with no data service in Rome other than random Wi-Fi, this app was incredible. It showed me how to get from my hotel to a site, to the next site from the previous site, and included/not-included other places of interest along the way as I specified it. It worked great throughout the city when I had no service as long as I set up the sites for my day from my hotel that had Wi-Fi. its a fantastic app and look forward to using it for other cities I travel to as mtrip makes them available - Brett Mpls, MN - USA
Nice app wish. I used more. Just started toward end of trip. If I had data and a iPhone we wouldnt need to carry a 2 lb travel guide around. Will use again for next trip.
